I have tried to embed the video several times, but all I get is a black screen and sound -no video. I put the links in as the only option I could make work.

Whooh that is what I call a super introduction as teacher :-)
As you can see the wiki offers the possibility to embed YouTube clips easily.. we did the first one for you.
Give it a try and embed the students clip too? (tip --> edit, insert, video.. rest is for you to find out )
